Today make a promise to relax and feel your body and do all you can to keep it. Make a promise to your your mental and physical health first. What this means is that you promise to take care of yourself despite what your responsibilities, commitments and obligations may tell you. This is something that you have to make a priority so you can live up to your expectations and the expectations of those around you. There is no way for you to do anything if you aren’t around so today, make the promise to take care of you first.
A simple way to put this into action is when things seem to overwhelm you or maybe too difficult to handle. If you find yourself having a challenging day remember to take some time for yourself. Find a comfortable spot where you can be alone and relax, sit, be still, and listen, don’t do anything for five minutes. Breathe in breathe out and follow the breaths. Allow yourself the opportunity to really feel your body. Doing so will help you mentally and physically because you are allowing yourself some decompress and rejuvenation time because you are putting you first. Remember always that you truly are important and you actually do matter! Put this simple act into practice as you create an excellent week! ~Bonnie
