Here are three steps for creating your well-being success

Step one:

Begin the process by starting your day out right by stimulating your mind and body. Focus your thoughts on what you do want. Create change by doing something different so that you can achieve the goals you want right now giving you a sense of strength and motivation for your day.  For example, when you wake up to remember it’s a new day with different possibilities and opportunities.  What happened yesterday is in the past. Start by thinking about things that you are grateful for. Be mindful not to focus on negative thoughts of frustration or anger, and what is not going well, and what you don’t want.  Instead, think positive thoughts that shift you to a better feeling thought. For example, thinking about a friend or loved one who makes you smile, starting a project that excites you, or being in your favorite place where you go on vacation.

Step Two:

Prepare a plan of action. You can spend a few minutes or a few hours. The key is to make it simple and start. You can add or change it in the future. Get in a habit of writing down 3-5 things to accomplish each day that is important to you.  For example, I journal, do 30 minutes of exercise, post on my Grow Your Wealth and Well-Being Facebook group, call 1 client and work on relationship building on social media. Whatever I don’t complete during that day, I add to the plan for the next day until I do the task.

Step Three:

Schedule time each day to do something you love. Write it down. Decide you are going to do at least one item each day towards one of your goals. If you have some extra time and do more, then you will achieve your goal quicker.  Consistency will help you achieve your goals.

The key is to be consistent, disciplined and take small action steps on your journey doing what you are passionate about while enjoying your life. Be patient, trusting the result will happen. Avoid telling yourself stories of what you can’t do, that could sabotage your success. Change your thoughts to believing you can do it. Train your mind to be positive and take an optimistic outlook as you manage your daily decisions. Focus on getting clear on where you want to go, what goals you want to achieve and make the daily commitment that will get you there. In time you will accomplish what you never imagined possible.

Begin with creating a few simple daily habits or rituals.  For example, perhaps you decide to write a book, then you need to create time in your day to write. Thinking you need to find 3-4 hours at a time may be overwhelming to you. Instead, choose a time where you write a minimum of 150 words a day for 5 days a week. You will be surprised at how much you accomplish when you create the writing habit. In a short period of time, you will be well on your way to completing the goal you desire. Some days you may feel inspired and write more than 150 words.  You can approach improving your well-being in the same way.  You don’t have to change everything all at once. One change leads to another.

You may be a person who likes to start your day working out early in the morning to jumpstart your day or for general health. If you would like to make this happen, schedule a time on your calendar for working out. I worked out in the morning for many few years. However, later in my journey, it worked better for me to work out after I would get home from work so I could manage my stress better and shift my thoughts away from the stock market.  This gave me a sense of inner peace. By creating habits that are doable for you, you can make them sustainable.  What simple habits can you start now to develop new patterns for your well-being success?

Simple Daily Sustainable Well-Being Habits

  • Eat a healthy breakfast. Instead of saying, “I don’t have time to eat” find what works for you. I added an Arbonne protein shake every day for breakfast. Giving my body healthy nutrients helped control my sugar levels and reduced mood swings. I could focus better and be calmer and happier.
  • Increase your water intake to improve your well-being. Keep water with you. Did you know that warm water is easier to drink than cold? I didn’t until I wanted to get to 110 oz of water intake in a day.  It may take a little bit of time to get used to, but once you do, drinking water throughout the day will be part of your daily routine.
  • Give yourself a few minutes of alone time each day so that you can clear your thoughts and relax. Be still, silent and listen. Do it for 10 consecutive days.
  • Take a walk. Find 10 minutes, grab your headset, and listen to your favorite music or an inspiring self-growth mp3.
  • Grab a notebook or a journal and write down 5 – 10 things you are grateful for. This habit will help you focus on the good and get you in a positive frame of mind.

Creating discipline will lead you on your journey towards achieving the goals you desire setting yourself up for success. Get started taking simple action steps one at a time. Explore and experiment until you find what feels good, the right combination for you. Get to a point where your habits become automatic. If I could do this, you can too.

If you are patient, in time, the action steps you take will become easier, because you will gain confidence as you practice, and you will begin to feel better and stronger.  Once you begin to see the change, you will be ready to add a few more.  Your dedication will go a long way when you make changes to impact your life. Don’t allow your busy schedule to stop you from taking care of yourself. Decide today to make your well-being a priority.  Invest in your personal growth to develop confidence and live a lifestyle where you are happy and improve your well-being.

Start using these principles.

Ignite Your Well-Being

  • Say kind words to yourself by creating power statements that give you confidence and inspires you. For example, I am doing it. I am taking responsibility no matter what. I will succeed. I am smart and successful”
  • Invest in your personal development.
  • Be compassionate to other people. One kind word can lift someone’s spirit making a difference.
  • Do your best.
  • When you’re challenged, stop and ask yourself, “How can I make it simple?” Concentrate on finding the solution, not on the problem.
  • Be optimistic and positive about what you can make happen.

Simple changes in your habits can help ignite your journey to well-being. As you begin to shift your mindset to a more positive attitude and a winning mindset you will be more peaceful, less frustrated, and more focused. Watch your productivity increase. Daily effort on your path to well-being includes learning new practices for taking care of your mind and body. As you choose the path of creating well-being, it’s ok to ask others for help when you need it. Do everything in moderation without depriving yourself. It’s possible for you to find a balance, the right combination for you. Get started with a few simple healthy well-being habits. Small victories will lead to big changes.  Take the first step today in finding your right balance so you can feel great and accomplish your wellness goals on your well-being journey.
