Do you have a morning ritual that inspires you and makes you happy? It’s easy to get bogged down with life’s responsibilities. If you are not achieving what you want, decide today that you are open and willing to do something different to start your day. It’s time to change those habits that may be holding you back. There’s no better time than now to change your habits and set yourself up for a happy, productive day.
Your morning ritual establishes your mood and tone for what’s ahead. You have complete control and can design a routine that works best for you. It’s all up to you. By creating a daily practice that inspires you, you not only feel better but doing so adds more fun to your life. Below are eight ways you can begin creating a happier, more productive day.
Seven habits to create a happier, more productive day
- Each morning write down what you’re grateful for. Incorporating an attitude of gratitude leads to a life of happiness.
- Avoid looking at your phone for at least one hour when you get up. Instead, you’ll be amazed at how less distracted you will be and what you can get done.
- Drink plenty of water to detoxify your body, and it will increase your metabolism and improve your digestive function.
- Start your day on a positive note. Do two things before you go to sleep that will help you the next day, so you are not in a rush in the morning. They don’t have to be complicated. For example: prepare the clothes you will wear the next day. Prepare a few healthy snacks to take with you at a moment’s notice.
- Write down three top tasks you want to do for the day. First, choose the most challenging task you want to achieve first, and then take one simple action step. Then, when you complete it, you will feel great.
- Remember to take YOU time. Each day you want to do something you love that gives you joy and happiness.
- Move your body. Exercise is a wonderful way to feel better and put you in good spirits. Choose exercises that you like so you will do them. My favorite exercise is riding a stationary bike which helps me start my day feeling energized.
Take actions that move you forward and make you feel good. You don’t have to do everything in one day. Instead, focus each morning on positioning yourself to feel good, be happy, and experience the high-energy vibrations that recharge you. Make it simple and fun. Explore and experiment with your daily ritual until you find the right combination for you. The little steps you do each day quickly add up to create a happier and more productive day.
