Revisit Change Your Diet. Change Your Life.

What do you think holds people back from losing weight? There probably isn’t one definitive answer. I know what it was for me. Losing weight always seemed to be a huge mountain I had to climb. Are you aware that food plays such an important role in our overall well-being and longevity? Weight loss does not have to be hard or something that you do not enjoy, if you are patient. It’s a way of life not a “diet” and it can and will bring you confidence, increased self confidence as you are moving toward goals and dreams.  A renewed strength and connection to your spirit develops as you begin to like yourself more and more. This is exactly what I have experienced myself through this process. I even gained more focus as time passed and continue to feel a tremendous sense of control. By challenging myself and meeting my goals, I can now say that I’m a more positive and confident person who feels happy and excited about life. Can all this be possible with changing your diet? Yes and more. I was astounded that the flood-gates flew open toward even more as I keep growing closer and closer to who I am meant to be. Being aware of your health and doing something about it can help your body &  mind relax because you feel like you are a growing as a person as you move forward in life.

What I discovered is that when you are nurturing your body and soul you feel healthy, strong from the inside out and you have the energy to embrace all that life has to offer in a positive way. I must admit that it was not pure will that helped me along the way. It started with a decision, a solid support system and becoming knowledgeable during the process. With this in mind, I would like to share with you chapter by chapter of a book called “THE FORMULA 40-30-30 Weight Loss Program” by Gene and Joyce Daoust. Since I am in the process of teaching myself more about how our body works and processes the food we eat, I thought it would be beneficial to share my journey with you, especially since it has truly benefited me in so many areas of my life. It is one of my short term goals to learn even more.

With future posts, I will share with you how our bodies respond to various foods and how to avoid the negative responses that arise from a poor diet. By balancing your carbohydrates, proteins and fats you consume you provide your body exactly what it needs to perform at its highest level each and every day.  It is amazing how changing your diet can balance hormone levels, help you to avoid mood swings plus allow you to lose weight naturally over time. We have a magnificent machine within our bodies and each of us can help it to work better if we take care of ourselves. By eating healthier foods and making better choices YOU TOO can promote a lifestyle of health and well-being.
