Revisit Be Bold: Create Change by Getting Out of Your Own Way
It’s been a couple of weeks now and I’m still honored, happy, thankful and full of gratitude to Sheri Kaye Hoff for asking me to be the featured expert speaker to kick off the 2012 “Be BOLD Telesummit 8”. Sheri gave me such a wonderful introduction which helped calm the churning in my stomach and the racing in my heart. I was so nervous and thought for sure I’d freeze up but because I was prepared the words found their way out. Soon after telling my story, I felt a sense of calm come over me. I believe the soothing caring tone held within Sheri’s follow up questions allowed me the ability to relax in a way that has escaped me before when speaking in public. Sheri made the entire process easy and a pure delight. One of my personal highlights was when I shared the gratitude poem I had written to give thanks to those who have supported me in the process of creating true change in my life so I could get out of my own way. If you had known me years ago you would understand what a huge mountain it was for me to finally face my fears and get out of my shell. After sharing such personal insights, I was relieved to hear from so many people who have experienced some of the things that I had and how my story was an inspiration and blessing. Never did I ever dream that my own trials and challenges would be able to help someone else push through and also realize they are not alone. A small word with four letters “Fear” can hold you back and keep you stuck and handcuffed. The entire experience is one I will always remember and cherish for life.
If you are challenged with fear it is important that you remember to feel the fear and to do it anyway. All you have to do is just start and believe everything will take care of itself. It took me a bit of time to catch on and even longer to put into practice but now I can say that by experiencing the limitations of fear first hand that pushing forward is the only way to create change in your life.
Engaging with Sheri Kaye Hoff was a very exciting opportunity and I urge you to access the free download of my interview (good until Jan. 31st). Be sure to also participate during the Your Path to Success 8: Be BOLD Fr*ee Telesummit’s monthly event. My discussion focused on how YOU can ‘Create Change by Getting Out of Your Own Way’ ~ a message straight from my heart. I never dreamed in a million years that I would write a poem, let alone tell people how fear limited my world during a LIVE interview. My experience was so rewarding because I looked past my fear by taking inspired action, being bold, brave and daring. The entire experience was a challenge mixed with a bit of fear but by taking action and holding on to the words – just do it anyway, once again I was able to move beyond my own mind and into a place of proud satisfaction.
It is my sincere wish that by hearing my story you will become encouraged in some small or big way and allow yourself the happiness you deserve. Choose to always live your best life and remember to never give up on your dreams even if you do not have a clue how it will happen. YOU must keep your dreams alive as you dream big! You can do anything that you set your mind to! Believe you can, it really is possible because it is all up to you. You really can do it.
Please share your thoughts below and feel free to also send me a note at Bonnie@BonnieGortler.com. It really would be a pleasure to speak with you and to help or encourage you in some way. Stay the course and Be Bold! Now it is your turn to create your own excellent day! ~Bonnie
