John Maxwell sums it up with the idea of feeding the positive emotions until they begin to win over the negative ones. You will never remove doubt but you can move away from your doubt.

It is within your power to create a positive attitude. You do this by shifting your mindset to always thinking positively. Over time this will help you feel more confident in your abilities and you will begin to take the type of risks that enhance your life. Leaving the world of self doubt and entering the realm of growing your confidence takes time but you will gain courage and boldness in the process. Remember that it all starts with believing you can be confident and from there you will behave confidently, and before you know it, YOU will be!
