Revisit What the heck is ‘Barron’s’ and how can it help me make money?

Money is a challenge in everyone’s life and learning how to make it work for you can be both rewarding and empowering. As a student of the stock market since 1982 the Barron’s investment news magazine remains my favorite resource for detailed weekly analysis without hours in front of my computer. Barron’s was established in 1921 by Dow Jones & Company  and is now the world’s leading business publication. Through the years it has become a trusted resource to market professionals and the individual investor because of the attention to detail outlined by Clarence W. Barron; one of the most influential figures in the history of Dow Jones. He was was best known for his attention to detail. He knew better than anyone even minor mistakes can prove costly. This still holds true today. Besides its massive distribution and high standards, Barron’s has become an indispensable tool allowing me the opportunity to stay up to date on market news while relaxing by the pool in the sunshine as I’m taking in my daily vitamin D requirements! (I only wish that was true! lol) But seriously, even if you aren’t using Barron’s as a resource within your own profession you can use the information to help you make better investment and money decisions that  allow you to stay ahead of the game both personally & professionally. There is no limit to the useful information that can be found within the Barron’s when reading carefully and applying it to your money & investments.  

Now you may be saying to yourself — OK, Bonnie that’s great and all but I don’t know the first thing about investing. What does all that mean for me exactly? Well, the best way for me to explain is that investing provides you the opportunity to make money on your money as you put in motion the powerful concept of compounding. The more money you have means the more money you can make. Simply stated “money makes money”. You don’t even need much to start. You just need to start. This can be a tremendous help especially when interest rates are as low as they are now. Without a plan your  investments are unable to beat inflation causing your money to become depleted. What is most helpful is how each article enhances your investment awareness while teaching you about money, how to make it work for you plus provide opportunities for investment strategies; which could produce higher returns on your initial investment. Knowing how to make your money work for you is one of the key reasons to really become an avid reader of Barron’s.   

Finally, Barron’s is filled with commentary by market professionals to answers such questions as – Why has the stock market fallen so low? What do I need to do next in order to safe guard my money? What is causing so much volatility in the market? Not easy questions but as you immerse yourself within in the world of investing you will soon discover the strategies necessary to stay in the game and also have access to advisors that can help you to protect your investments and ultimately  achieve higher returns. Powerful stuff when you realize you have access to some of the same information that the very wealthy rely on. Even if you don’t see yourself reading or believe you don’t have the time then you can scan the articles to get the flavor of what’s going on. If you make this a habit for your own enrichment you will find that your ability to understand and really use the information will eventually become second nature.
