It’s November, an excellent time to reflect on Thanksgiving, traditionally a time to reflect on all the things to be grateful for. Let me start by sending you a big Thank You for being part of my community and for all of your support.
Gratitude is the start of happiness.
What I’ve found through the years is that the holiday is more than about celebrating with friends and family.
It’s a time to show your gratitude and appreciation for yourself and others.
Being in a spirit of “thanksgiving” can be taken to a new level by taking time each day of the year to express your appreciation for all that you have been given. With a conscious daily practice of gratitude, you will find the needed strength to get through life’s challenging times. Being thankful brings an abundance of confidence, love, and joy into your life.
Reach out today to give thanks to others, and know you will have touched their heart and lifted their spirits with goodness. Give thanks to yourself as well. Your mental and physical health will benefit from practicing daily appreciation because when you feel good, it’s easier to lift the spirit of others and to be supportive of their needs.
The love and patience you give yourself will create a compassionate and genuine loving heart that will be remembered as you continue to touch others with a spirit of appreciation.
Start today (don’t wait until the Thanksgiving holiday) telling someone “thank you” or sharing a simple “I appreciate you” and see what happens. One kind word of encouragement from you can make a difference in someone’s life.
You don’t know the challenges that others may face or how your kindness can impact another’s life. Today is a great day to sincerely reach out and help someone by giving words of hope or a word of wisdom that lifts their mood and places a smile on their face.
Often, I take a bit of time to give thanks for all I’ve been given and reflect on my wealth and well-being journey. I have learned the importance of focusing on having a positive mindset, practicing self-love, and finding the solution when challenged.
Knowing and believing you will find the way will carry you through the rough patches of life. Remember to remind yourself often that in time, the struggle will pass.
Life is full of change and challenges. Do the best that you can do. Each step, including those tough times I experienced on my journey, brought me to where I am now- living a healthier lifestyle, happy, and more peaceful. So can you. Here are some ways to make it happen:
7 Ways to Be in the Spirit of Gratitude
- If you are pressing and feel a bit overwhelmed, stop focusing on what’s not working, and redirect your attention to finding solutions. Think of one positive thought that makes you feel better and focus on that.
- Surround yourself with people who you trust and support you.
- Avoid taking what others say personally or allow their words to stop you from achieving your goal. Use the feedback that you receive to your advantage or ignore what doesn’t apply.
- Have a good laugh with a friend today. Laughter is good for the soul.
- Keep a journal. Write down ten things you are grateful for every day and embrace the moment of how you feel.
- Schedule plenty of “you” time on your calendar. Use the time to do what you love.
- Go outside your comfort zone today and do something that you have wanted to do. I’m here to partner with you.
Choose at least one tip from above to put into practice now that you celebrate today with a thankful heart while experiencing a life filled with abundance, joy, and happiness. The way you feel each day influences your happiness. Start taking one action step towards being in a spirit of gratitude. Keep believing good things are coming and stay centered in the spirit of gratitude.
