Your time is precious. Do you use yours in a meaningful way, so you feel good? Life is full of challenges. There are many twists and turns. If you are not feeling good, then begin to simplify your obligations and work responsibilities. By using your time to care about your well-being, you will find you have more daily energy, happiness, and you will feel more inner peace. When you create change in what you are doing that you don’t resonate with and do what you love, you will find life becomes less stressed and more fulfilling.
Think for a moment of ways how you can do more of what you love. Grab a journal and write down what comes to your mind. Develop routines and strategies that will limit your stress and increase your happiness. Do what you are passionate about? I help people make money and take care of their well-being, so they feel good. Make up your mind that you will choose one action step today toward doing more of what you love to do.
Change is challenging, but you can start the process by accepting that change is necessary. You deserve to have a break from those everyday responsibilities. Decide you will plan at least a few minutes each day dedicated to what makes you happy and puts a smile on your face. Get in the habit of planning for “me time,” or other plans will become a priority.
Start your day doing something positive. For example, read what inspires you, listen to music that energizes you, meditate to find your center, or begin the day by implementing that exercise program you’ve wanted to do.
If you’ve already started the process, then you may find you are at a point where you are not making as much progress as you would like. If this happens, be patient with yourself, persevere, keep going until you completed what you wanted to achieve. Look at your schedule and see where you may be doing too much and see if it’s urgent that you don’t have to do today but can wait. Don’t allow your day to be so full that there is no place for taking care of your well-being.
It takes time to develop new thoughts and habits. Sometimes you might need to practice more than you thought was necessary before a new pattern finally clicks. However, when you do, you begin to reap the rewards and feel good. Like any habit, once you take action consistently, you will get better, and it will become second nature to you. Below I’ve put together some tips to help you make changes so you feel good. Reach for your dream. Choose the path doing what you love.
7 Simple Tips You Can Do to Feel Good
- Reduce the amount of time you worry. Over 90% of what you worry about will work itself out within a few days.
- Get in the habit of planning for “me time,” or other plans will become a priority. Start your day by lifting your spirits and being intentional about your day. Set the intention for calm and flow, knowing everything will work out.
- Schedule an appointment on your calendar with yourself. Do something you love. Some examples: Take a yoga/exercise class or start a simple yoga routine. I have begun this practice, and it helps me focus during the day and energizes me. Go through an old photo album and remember the good times you had with friends and family. Begin the day by implementing that exercise program you’ve wanted to do. Start right now.
- Shift your mindset to be more positive if you are feeling frustrated or upset. A helpful strategy is to write down a list of 5 things that make you smile. Choose one and do it.
- Get up an hour earlier to start your day. Use the time to create a daily routine that makes you happy. Ex. Journaling, meditation, reading, listening to music or walking.
- Do less, not more. Remove, simplify, or tweak one item that you often do not get the results you thought you would.
- Respond to others without reacting. If someone says something to you that you don’t like, don’t answer right back. Ask yourself, am I taking what was said personally? Take a deep breath and count to 10 before you respond.
Start spending quality time with yourself doing what you love. Make it a priority to take care of your well-being, and focus on doing what makes you feel good. Start by choosing one of the tips above and continue until it’s been mastered. Then select another one. Live a fulfilling life by taking care of your well-being, so you feel good.
