Healthy Food Choices for Achievable Weight Loss

healthy food choicesMaking healthy food choices can seem a bit difficult at times. Fad diets may promote weight loss quickly, however they rarely will be the long term answer to successful weight-loss when living a healthy lifestyle. It is more beneficial to make a few changes in your eating habits as change you mindset. This is exactly what I did and now well over 65 pounds later I believe anyone can implement these same steps for weight-loss that lasts.

Quick and easy weight loss tips

  • Never skip meals
  • Eat a healthy breakfast
  • Eat a variety of nutritious foods
  • Restrict your consumption of sugar, sodium saturated fats and cholesterol
  • Avoid beverages that are high in calories
  • Limit your portion size
  • Exercise regularly—Start with 5 minutes a day and work yourself up to longer periods of time.
  • Choose an exercise routine that you enjoy doing or you will not do it in the long run
  • Increase your activity daily in simple ways, keep moving your body.

By creating good habits that are achievable you are laying the groundwork for beginning to live a healthier lifestyle that will ensure you feeling your best.  Fad diets only produce results in the short term. We, on the other hand, are looking only for long term results as opposed to some quick magical solution.
